What happened to the good ol days, when getting a doctors appointment was so easy
Telephone consultation which was slightly later than that promised, although to be fair I had 2 texts, one with a specific time and the other with a period of time. I was able to understand the reason for the consultation and was able to give honest answers to the posed questions.
The call was a HRT call supposedly with the HRT nurse but I was called by the pharmacist who wasn’t sure why he was calling instead but would try and help.
The outcome I was wanting was to up my level of Evorel patches to 50 from 25 after a private consultant I saw at my place of work carried out a series of blood test and confirmed I was low on oestrogen. When I made the appointment for this assessment at the reception on 6th Feb I carried out 3 blood pressure readings. These could not be found. I have copies of blood test results, consultant letter and copies of the BP results and offered to send these through. But there wasn’t a method to attach documents. The outcome I received was the pharmacist would contact reception to send me out a link and would prescribe me Evorel 25 but wasn’t happy to increase this until BP found. Overall the pharmacist was friendly/polite but unsure why he was making the call and therefore didn’t make me feel reassured.
Appointments are always difficult to get face to face however the telephone appointments have been very good and I’m happy to communicate this way
The surgery is a very happy and friendly place.
Tracey the nurse and Becky the HCA were excellent and even managed to arrange my ECG at short notice to save me coming back.
