Had a blood test 8.15am. I waited a good ten minutes. The nurse was flustered because her computer was misbehaving - I felt a little uneasy because of her attitude. I’ve had many blood tests over the past year - this one was with a different nurse - asked me if I had drunk any water beforehand (yes, one pint) she said my veins were spongy and it hurt a little. Very unusual.
I left feeling saddened by my experience - not the calm and caring feeling I’ve left with in the past - and made me reflect upon this visit - not the usual attitude I expect from a medical practitioner.
Perhaps she was having a bad day.
I thought this feedback may be helpful - I’m usually very satisfied with my visits to the surgery.

My usual nurse (Kim I think?) would have been better! Her dinosaur reflects her mood! Always leave feeling happy after seeing her, and I know she is pressurised.

Trying to get through is a joke. Then go through all this triage , then to get sent to a doctors miles from where you live and do not drink be and disabled is
Not good at all.

Sent me to Collington , not have to hold on or keep ringing back 47 times to get through.

It took 3 days to bee able to get through on the telephone. Then had to wait 6 days for a face to face appointment.
Suggested improvements
Clearly you don't have enough staff for the number of patients on your books. The surgery needs to get back to being able to answer phones in a timely fashion and be able to provide face to face Doctors appointments on same day.

Overall my surgery is very good, few problems due to NHS current situation which continue to be concerning. Waiting room was exceptionally busy and NO WINDOWS open!! Thank you Collington for always doing your best in difficult times
