Outstanding as usual - I have autism and this was an ear treatment appointment which I find very difficult- Heather was Fantastic and understanding and patient and so thorough - I can hear beautifully now - the Reception staff were very kind and attentative and the reception area was absolutely pristine as usual - I feel so lucky to be patient at DJ Warden and Partners.

I had an appointment with Kim for a blood test. It is always a pleasure to see Kim. She is super efficient at what she does and is a delightful lady, so helpful.

All good except the booking system wouldn't let the practice nurse book 12 weeks ahead for my regular b12 injection so I'll have to wrestle with the telephone booking again. That must cause a lot of extra calls on a busy system for non urgent regular appointments. Letting the system book more than 12 weeks ahead would help relief pressure all round and save extra work.

I first arranged an appointment on the 22.12.23 and was given a time and sent confirmation via text for this appointment. When I arrived I found my appointment had been cancelled and I had not been informed. The receptionist rearranged this appointment to the following day. When attending the surgery for the appointment the next day I waited almost an hour after my appointment was due. A child and their mother came in to the surgery and the child was vomiting. When the child went to be seen, no one cleaned the chair they had been sat on. When I eventually saw the dr, I ended up in tears as he was asking me why i stopped breastfeeding and why I express breastfed instead of breastfeeding from me. I realised this is the same doctor I had spoken to when I was trying to breastfeed who had told me to ‘starve him and he will have no choice but to breastfeed’. These comments and questions were incredibly insensitive as I had a very difficult time after giving birth and my child had been tube fed. Following this discussion in the appointment the doctor failed to check me physically, didn’t look at me or listen to my chest which is what I had expressed was hurting. They then consistently commented on their history in working with woman who breastfed in India and how they had never given formula to any of them and they all breastfed which made me feel it was my fault my child couldn’t breastfeed from me. They referred me to a breast cancer clinic which asked for my weight. When I told them I don’t know my weight now because I haven’t looked since before being pregnant the doctor rudely said ‘they ask these questions so you have to just answer them’ without finding me scales to check my weight.

Suggested improvements
Phoning for cancellation of appointments. More training for doctors on how to treat patients. There is a lot of improvement needed as evident in my comments above.
