Appointments go early if you are lucky enough to get through. If you are lucky to get on the triage list you then get a phone call. I don’t see how you can make a diagnosis over the phone and usually with a paramedic!. It is nice to see a doctor to get a proper diagnosis and advice. I would rather go back to years ago when you went to the surgery and waited your turn to see a doctor , at least you saw a doctor face to face..I do feel along with a lot of people that the service has got worse since Covid.

As hard as it is , we need more doctors

Compared with previously, it is an uncertain process, but considering present pressures on NHS, it is manageable.

I received a text request to make an appointment for blood test( annual for medication review) .I phoned and was given an appointment a week later. It was at the alternative surgery to my local one but I can still walk so able to go there. Receptionist helpful in both practices. Nurse doing blood test was quick,usually these tests can take a while as my veins don't like it,but she was great .

This time nothing, the appointment was requested and given . I do try not to go to doctors and sometimes I have had problems getting through on phone but not this time.
