My last appointment was with the Dietician at Collington Surgery and she was extremely helpful.and told me where to wait. The surgery entrance and waiting room were very tidy and clean. I did not have long to wait when Dietician Heather came to get me and take me with her into her reception room. She explained to me the different types of milkshakes I could have and arranged for the Company to send me 4 different types to choose from and to let her know which ones I would like and she will inform my surgery so the GP can prescribe them for me

There was nothing that could be done better as everyone who I came into contact with were extremely helpful and kind.

Checked in on arrival and went to reception. The system failed and if I hadn’t raised with the receptionist I’ve no idea how much longer I would have waited. The nurse was brilliant when she eventually saw me and very apologetic unlike the receptionist.

Perhaps my request is not that urgent however, because it’s antibiotics for frequent UTIs it makes a huge difference if I have them on the repeat prescription as this does stop infection getting unbearable or going to kidneys. I have a telephone appointment for 27th February however, during this time I could get another infection as they never properly go away. Thank you

Perhaps look at my notes to see the full picture as to what is going on and how I’m trying to manage it until appointment with Urology. There is a 53 week waiting list, I phoned to see if I was on the list as I hadn’t heard anything and was told I had another 5 months to go as referral letter received last July.

Always a queue number when phoning. Whilst understandable to me, I can see it is frustrating for elderly patients.

Since the merger of the practises it has been difficult to get through on the phone to make an appointment. When appointments can be made the timeframes are also not as good as before the merger and obviously not also available at Collington. However once I've been able to speak to a doctor the service has been good.

Difficult to advise unless you split from the other practises. A local doctor should be just that local to where you live.
