Nearly always difficult to get through. Nearly always a very long queue to speak to receptionist.

Booked in with an asthma nurse by mistake, not COPD nurse but she was training to be COPD nurse. It is to be followed up by correct nurse next Wednesday.

Despite the previous appt for taking blood proved difficult from my arm ( which I indicated is always the case) the nurse eventually took the samples from my hand. Called back to have some more taken I explained the same thing to this nurse. She had two attempts in my arm and then said that she was unable to take blood from my hand and I should go to the clinic in Beeching Rd or rebook. I went to Beeching Rd and found that it should be booked online. I asked if there was space on the booking form for requesting a practitioner that can take the sample from my hand. I was told that no there wasn’t and I should telephone. Tried to call 3 times “All receptionists busy - please book online.” As it is a high blood sugar reading I am opting not to re-book for a month, do what I know I should do to get a reading down and then see.

Believe me when I say that it is really difficult to get blood from my arm and perhaps have it put on my notes. I had an MRI scan and a nurse had 3 attempts despite me saying - she ended calling for someone else who could do it from my hand. I appreciate that it is not the optimum way to do it - also unpleasant for me I might add.
