Yesterday we tried, with no success to get a Drs appt. the gap called, spoke but the call was cut off. She did not call back. I phoned and told the receptionist who assured me it would be passed on and we would be called ASAP. No response. Today, the problem has worsened so we had to call again. The doctor came to the house and asked that I collect the X-ray form and prescription at 2pm but when I arrived he had prepared neither item. As I do not live in Bexhill and the Dr was not there it is likely my mother will not receive the medication she so clearly needed. The receptionist was helpful and promised to try and get a prescription done. By the end of the day. She was over stretched, dealing with all incoming calls and people wanting help. All in all a really poor service by the surgery, I feel for any elderly patients who do not have relatives to do errands for them and chase up mistakes. Given Bexhill has a large elderly population I feel the surgery should be more user friendly, for example you are not allowed to phone for repeat prescriptions, post or in person! Website says online not up and running yet receptionist says it is. What a shambolic practice
