My recent appointments have been with nurses, paramedics, etc. My problem was/is with tinnitus. I have visited the practice previously to report tinnitus. My last appointment for this was with a paramedic, who did not consider it could be due to a side effect of one of my prescription medications. I also diagnosed myself with high blood pressure, and booked an appointment to discuss my observation that both tinnitus (and a persistent cough reported in the past) could be due to Ramiprill. I have had tinnitus for some time, but at no time did anybody even hint that this could be due to Ramiprill, despite it being an apparently ‘well known’ issue, as is the continuous cough. If I had actually been able to see a Doctor over the period concerned, maybe prescription drug side effects might have been considered. I would also mention that Metoprolol that I also take on a daily basis is also mentioned as having tinnitus as a side effect! Side effects from my prescription medications have never been discussed with me during any of my past appointments until the latest ones, when I myself brought it up.
