Dr face to face experience was very good , Dr listened to my issues and actually interacted with me instead of staring and talking at the computer screen ( I have experienced this numerous times at another surgery ) I was not pressurised to end the appointment and felt as if I was being listened to. Appropriate ongoing care was organised . To secure a face to face appointment with a Dr was a bit of a chore . I had been advised by a Dr ( phone consult ) via the Extended Access Service to arrange a face to face Dr appointment . I made that appointment which was cancelled by the surgery as the Dr wasn’t available ( 20 minutes before appointment time ! ) . When trying to make another appointment I was encouraged to book an ANP appointment instead . I explained I wanted a Dr appointment which was eventually booked after being made to feel I was being awkward in my request .

Suggested improvements
Should an appointment need to be cancelled by the surgery as much notice as possible should be given to the patient . I don’t know the circumstances of my cancellation but 20 minutes notice was pretty poor .
