It’s so bad to get an appointment. You can only phone for one between 8am - 12pm. This is difficult as the lines get so blocked. My daughter was ill but only got worse in the afternoon and initially they refused to see her because I phoned at 2pm. Even though the website says emergency appointments can be offered between 2pm and 6pm. She is 11 months and was really poorly but told I had to phone 111. Before even speaking to a receptionist I spent a long time on hold then when I got to position 3 the phone cut out and I had to rejoin the queue again. Took me until 3pm to speak to someone. I asked if my appointment that I could have booked could be given to my daughter. The receptionist had to phone me back which she did do and was fine to do but I shouldn’t have had to go through that hassle to get an appointment for my poorly child. You get told not to go to a&e but also can’t get an appointment with a doctor.
