Trying to get an appointment at Cranfield surgery is a pointless exercise. There are NEVER any appointments available online...so a pointless system there. You can't book an appointment on the phone, so pointless there. You have to queue up early in the morning before the surgery opens, and even then you are not guaranteed an appointment as it's a first come first served system. So pointless. I want to see a doctor, and I want to see a doctor on the day I need to see a doctor...I don't want the stress of getting up early to try and get an appointment...or turning up in the afternoon to try and get an appointment. It has got to the point that I worry about being ill and don't feel I can get seen...so weeks go by, and I suffer more.
The whole thing is rushed and transactional. There is no interest in the acting like a GP they simply act as referral and prescription brokers. No stethoscopes to be seen or used, for example.
Good GP's and workforce and cleanliness of the premesis and friendly reception staff
Cranfield surgery is overloaded. Getting an appointment is like winning the lottery, unlikely. Located in an old house with steep stairs, the premises are quite unsuitable, and sometimes mouse droppings can be seen on the waiting room floors.
