Usually have to wait a while to get through on the phones then have to wait until you are triaged which can also take some time.

Faster tel response by putting more people on the phones at peak time. Make appts in advance like we used to be able to do.

If I need to see a doctor, I ring up dead on 8.30 , and find I am on a line of around 40 other calls waiting, how can 41 calls come in at the same time dead on 8.30.

Other than my last answer I gave you, I cannot think of anything else.

Telephone queues are a fact of modern life but sometimes the wait is stressful. I understand why GPs cannot always do f2f appointments but sometimes it really is necessary and you do have to convince the receptionists that it's best. Receptionists though, are only doing their job! My latest appointment was for flu and COVID vaccs and the process was easy and professional. Thank you.

Insist on mask wearing. COVID has not gone away.

I can get an appointment but there is usually a long wait on hold on the telephone. The receptionists at the surgery have been much better of late.

Nothing to add. This was for the flu jabs for my father (who is 100 years old) and myself and we were able to have them at the same time. No waiting and able to park. Excellent service.

You can be a long time getting through and specific times are not given for calling you back. It's not always easy to be available.p
