Trying to get an appointment is like trying to find a needle in a haystack-time consuming, frustrating and a very slim possibility of getting anywhere. Once there you are then told by someone who is unlikely to be qualified that the reason you are calling is not an emergency so you will have to try again tomorrow.

Start treating your patients with a bit of human decency and maybe they won’t get irate down the phone. Remember they are phoning because they want advice from a medical practitioner they could be scared, worried, anxious yet you treat them like a nuisance.

Ive been ill for just over a year and never had a problem getting an appointment or call with the medical team,i collect my medication from the dispensery and they are all fantastic and go beyond to help My referral to see specialists have been done straight away and i have been receiving applications for those and the specialist send the information to my doctor within days and i get an notification to let me know its been recorded on my notes Hopefully the service im getting continues

Receptionist could be more polite but i understand their job can be very frustrating and challenging for them

I was prescribed indigestion pills for pains in the chest, burping and feeling hot 7 days later I was rushed to Norwich hospital straight into the operating theatre with a heart attack. Don't ever accept an appointment with a Practitioner Nurse you may not survive!!!

Try to phone, after 45 minutes get through then cut off, can’t get through again. It will be an emergency if it gets any harder.
