I find the nurses very knowledgeable, courteous, kind and professional. I get appointments booked in a block as I need ongoing care, this is very helpful. However, getting the initial appointment with the GP was very difficult, I had to wait 2 days. Receptionists are friendly and kind when you are face to face.
I have asked several times lately to have a face to face appointment with a doctor in order to get my feet seen.
All I am offered are telephone appointments, where my problem can not be seen.
The last doctor I talked to was quite rude to me & would not listen to me trying to explaine my problems.
After going miu this am and being told they don’t see u see 2s I was told she wasn’t critical enough for a&e but should be seen by gp again today… after a 50 minute wait to get through to the surgery this am (I called at 8.50am) I was told she doesn’t need to be seen abd continur wit inhaler we were prescribed if she gets worse to go to a&e… not the best as was told be miu she needed to be seen at doctors surgery!!
Surgery was proactive in Inviting me for LTC review, with an appt at a time that suited.
I was called in on time, the clinician was friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. It was a “ one stop” appointment where everything that was needed ( including blood tests) was completed.
A completely positive experience.
Long long wait on the phone only to be passed onto a Licom
