My appointment was cancelled at the very last minute which is not my plans for the day was very inconvenient. My next appointment was for a Friday. I’m going on holiday that day so I’ve had to make arrangements to leave later than I would’ve liked.

Not to cancel my appointment at the last minute cancelled due to illness. If I had to cancel at the last minute I don’t think you’d be very happy.

Polite and helpful receptionist made me a new appointment as previous one had been cancelled. Appointment for a review of my medicines began on time yesterday at 11 am. A helpful knowledgable nurse answered my questions and concerns willingly, taking time to listen carefully before responding. Nurse asked pertinent questions to collect clinical information for my medical record. Various tests undertaken blood pressure, height, weight. Bloods taken for checking liver function etc.. 2 vaccinations administered - Pneumonia and shingles and date booked for Covid and Flu jabs. I was impressed with this thorough and comprehensive medicines review. At 4pm today, I received a text message from Clarkson to say that my recent blood tests came back as normal, no further action required. Well done Clarkson surgery!

The reception area sometimes gets very busy. An additional receptionist at busy times to help patients to access the service more easily would reduce patient stress. However, I would prefer the available funding to be spent on maintaining the excellent range of clinical services available from other clinical staff employed at Clarkson. I believe that it has really improved and enhanced medical care at our surgery for many people.

By phoning at 8.30 and speaking to the patient receptionist I got what I needed. Polite and helpful!
