It has been virtually impossible to get an appointment with a doctor since the start of the pandemic. I have found communicating by letter the only to progress health issues.
The recent appointment was initiated by the surgery for my "long-term condition review". This turned out to be a pure tick-box exercise. My long term conditions were not discussed. I provided my weight and height. The only item requiring personal attendance was the taking of blood samples. Questions I had about my medication could not be answered and I was advised to make an appointment with a GP. However, this could not be done because no appointments were available for over two weeks.
Suggested improvements
You could have sent the form to be completed and just booked a blood test. If we are to attend appointments in persons, at least arrange them with a prescribing nurse so, at the very least, questions about medication can be addressed. However, calling them a "long term condition review" when nothing connected with my actual condition was in anyway addresses [presumably so that you received the payments connected to such reviews] is just dishonest.
