The receptionist who made my appointment was super-helpful and friendly, her name was Annette and she is always lovely. The nurse who did my injection was also really friendly and kind.

I was texted on the morning of my appointment to tell me it was cancelled. I tried several times through the day to get through to rebook (13th in the queue, then 13th, 19th, 10th, 10th eventually at the end of the day 6th). It took 20 minutes to speak to someone from only 6th in the queue. I really think it would be polite and more efficient to call people if you are cancelling an appointment for that day. Then an appointment can be rescheduled at the same time. If you don’t answer, fine, send a text. The inability to book appointments online is frustrating. As is the message with don’t call at 8am, only call after 8.30, for such and such after 11am, reduced staff from 12-2, blah blah blah. However when I eventually spoke to someone, she was helpful and sounded pleased that I wasn’t shouting at her!

Suggested improvements
Please sort out an online appointment booking system. It’s a nightmare trying to get through and I don’t work in a job where I can sit on hold for 40 minutes just to book an appointment.

The wait time on the telephone most of the time is horrendous 1hour 48 minutes on the 20/2//24 to be told the doctor still hadn’t opened a email from the hospital with X-ray results not impressed!!

For 2 and a half years I’ve complained of a painful foot to be told it’s plantar fasciitis it will go away then it’s tendinitis then when I said I’ve had enough of being in pain offered anti depressants which I refused . After going to the hospital this February 2024 for a visit to the surgeon about a new knee I said to him I’m in so much pain with my foot he asked if I’d ever had an X-ray on it which I have not been offered and to be honest no doctor actually took much time let alone even really looked at my foot. This has shown up there is a problem he sent the doctor the results which took over a week to even be opened by this time I’ve had an MRI scan done and am now paying to go for a consultation to a foot surgeon private . This could have been diagnosed years ago this has resulted in having my knee surgery delayed !

I ended up having to call 111 when I couldn't get a appointment, then after an emergency appointment with you after the 111 call I was sent directly to hospital where I had an emergency surgery 6 hours later,not a pleasant experience.
