Audley Mills Surgery is a very busy practice that works hard to keep on top of the demand for GP and associated medical services required by the patients registered with the practice. It uses information technology to provide patients with the ability to make appointments online thus avoiding the need to make telephone calls. This makes it easier for those without internet access to make appointments etc over the telephone. I am also pleased to note that the practice has recently changed its telephone number from an 0844 (Premium) number to a local (01268) number thus complying with a directive from the Health Service that Premium numbers should not be used by GPs etc. I am also delighted that that Audley Mills is a Training Practice providing "on the job" experience to medical students training to be GPs.
Audley Mills surgery have been a great support to me over many years, but particularly during the last few months when faced with major surgery for a heart condition.
I have nothing but praise for the GP's, reception staff, and excellent nurses.
My only slight concern, is the booking process. I have registered for 'online booking' but have had to stay up 'til midnight if I have wanted to book a particular doctor, but understand that the surgery is very busy and certain doctors are very much in demand.
I have no negative comments to post re Audley Mill surgery, just a huge thank you for the excellent service we are afforded in Rayleigh by all who work there.
The service seems to have improved recently, especially after returning to local phone-call rate.

I’m sure that many surgeries have room for improvement from our experience of the consultation, online booking on the day, future slot appointments, the ring at 4pm for an emergency appointment together with the electronic booking in system, Audley Mills surgery is not one of them.
I forgot flexibility! The appointment was for 8.20 but arriving at 8.08 and electronically booking in we were called immediately on arriving in the waiting room. The doctor explained that he had had a no show so seeing our arrival on screen called us immediately!!
