The Miller Practice

The practice is effective as in getting care quickly, however the doctors aren’t very dedicated in getting to know the patients and understanding their issues. Avoid being treated by Dr. Kim Ruddy at all costs; She’s inattentive, does not even pretend to care about the patient and will just babble about anything. She forgets to take notes, she does not pay attention when you are speaking and overall it is just a bad experience in where the patient just feel like it is being very disrespected.

The receptionist are very rude and off putting. I changed GP as result.

I’ve been with the surgery for many years, as far back to Dr Miller to Dr Dock they were excellent with patient care. Dr James Hibbard, what a lovely Doctor, just like it was back in the days. Extremely attentive, very caring & did not make me feel like I was taking up too much of he’s time. I would beware of the nurse Betty Jackson. I had a gynae appointment with her and after asking me whether I was married which I wasn't, and whether I had had children, which I hadn't, she gave me an extra painful examination with a speculum which has never happened in my entire life. I was screeching in pain. I don't think this was a coincidence. The GPs are okay but it used to be a better surgery. The reception staff vary. They are otherwise very efficient. I would only critique the lack of warning about information-sharing if you are referred to an outside service, as some share your personal information with the local authority without your knowledge or permission.

Good surgery. As someone mentioned, it is difficult to see the same doctor twice and appointments are sometimes difficult to get. Having said that, when I do meet a doctor, they are communicative and seem to genuinely care and not rush you out the door. Probably the reason why appointments are difficult to get! Also, their online services are great - you can book appointments and reorder repeat subscriptions.

A great GP practice but it can be difficult to get an appointment.

Great staff with a very kind and familiar attitude.

The fact that only a few of the doctors in the practice are permanently on staff means that we've been going to this surgery for more than 10 years and almost never see the same doctor. No one knows my family or its medical issues. The younger doctors on 6 month or 1 year rotation often seem more caring, interested and informed than many of the senior staff.
