The staff were nice and the surgery is clean. But there is a serious lack of communication between reception & doctors. I booked my routine depo injection for the nurse days in advance. Was kept waiting for 45min because of a medical emergency. Which would of been fine but no one in the waiting area or reception was notified of this taking place so alot of people were kept waiting without knowing the reason. When I finally got to see the nurse she told me about the situation but then said that she doesn't do depo injections and that I shouldn't have been booked in to see her in the first place. So went back to reception desk and was told to wait another 15 mins for a doctor who then stated he doesn't do the depo- provera injections either! It is a standard requirement for gp doctors to be able to perform injections. So I'm worried that these doctors & nurses are not properly qualified! Or that the doctors think that this routine procedure is beneath them? Will be looking to register with another surgery nearby, my advice to anyone would be NOT to register with this surgery unless the service improves. The communication between staff & doctors is shocking for a professional environment that deals with vulnerable people. Please could this be investigated for the benefit of patients in the future?

Lovely warm relationships, and a comfortable dialogue about my parents' needs. I feel that their GP, Dr James Booth, knows them well, and gives them the time they need. He often offers suggestions and support beyond the scope of the appointment. We are very grateful for the support of this excellent practice.

I have been registered with this practice for over 30 years and have experienced excellent care from the doctors. I prefer to see one particular doctor has he has cared for my family for many years and knows me well. I find I can make appointments to see him for regular check ups without difficulty provided I give sufficient notice however, if an emergency appointment is required I am happy to see whoever is available. The only comment I would make is that if the doctor is running late, it would be helpful if the receptionist could indicate how many patients are before you. I don't mind waiting as I know the doctor will take as long as he thinks is necessary for each patient but it is disconcerting not knowing if you are to be the next patient called.

My wife and I have been patients at this surgery for many years and have always been very happy with the doctors and staff there. We book appointments and order prescriptions online and can always get an appointment for the same day.
