I have been with this surgery for over35years. All the doctors i have seen are excellent.I dont have to wait days for an appointment usually done on same day. Abi and Sara the nurses very polite and friendly.Elaine who is on the administration team(a manager i think) very good if i have a problem with my prescription in any way. Overall excellent surgery and would recommend.

I joined Seymour House Surgery 10 years ago when I moved from the other side of Richmond. The receptionists have always been approachable, efficient, helpful and solution focused. I can’t thank them enough. And the GPs are superb - I don’t mind who I see as they are all first rate. Good treatment from kind nurses too. So grateful to have this practice on my doorstep in Richmond, thank you.

Suggested improvements
  • I couldn’t improve on the service for patient at Seymour House. They have also been exceptionally good during the horrendous pandemic.

I have just come back from an appointment with a Doctor that I have never seen before. She was upstairs, had dyed blonde hair with all the roots showing and could barely speak English. She avoided eye contact, had no ideas of what could be wrong with my son and refused to write him a prescription for Vitamin D12 because she “couldn’t be bothered.” In over twenty years of visiting the surgery I think they have hit an all time low. We got there early for our appointment and the patient before us left as soon as we got there. I then heard hear taping away in her keyboard for a couple of minutes. Then it went quiet for 15 minutes. I had to go back downstairs to ask the receptionist how long we would have to wait. I am thinking of putting a complaint in. Clearly, she couldn’t care less. She could not communicate with us and I have no idea where we go now. Terrible.

I have been a patient of this surgery for over 20 years and have always found Dr Hudson and the staff helpful and attentive. Over that time, I have seen the surgery modernised and updated.

I have been a patient at this practice for over 30 years. The doctors have always been very good. The reception staff used to be very helpful & the appointment system was excellent. However, over the last year things have gone down hill. The appointment system has gone backwards making it very difficult to get or make appointments over the phone. The automated service has now been removed & on top of that there has been a change in reception staff & I find a couple of them rude, arrogant & most unhelpful. Their telephone manner needs addressing. As a result of this I have changed practises. Such a shame as unfortunately although the doctors are very good to get past the unhelpful receptionists, who at times are incompetent, is not easy. Having said that their are still a couple of the original receptionists that are polite & friendly but they are not always there.

Reception has become more personal, friendly and obliging than previously. There is a great team now in reception which makes going to see your doctor easier nd much, much more pleasant. The doctors which I have seen there, four in total are very obliging, and do not rush you. Dr. Hudson is a real character! I like him, though it takes time to get to know his manner, like anything worthwhile...I guess? He is the Practice Primary Doctor and rightly so. I recommend this Practice from my own experiences, both in this one and from my experience as a patient at ' The Vineyard Surgery' and at 'Queens Road Surgery', Richmond upon Thames prior to 'Seymour House.' I sincerely hope this review was helpful to you. Hanna-Louise

The surgery closes every day in the middle of the day for 2 hours for "admin purposes". The phone often rings and rings and is not always answered. The automated booking service never works for me (on the phone), likewise the electronic system never works wither - not recognising the login details. I have had to get new logins twice and it still doesn't work. Reception staff are not very friendly or helpful and always look harassed. Rarely look up to say "I'll be with you in just a moment..." .
