I have needed to make a number of appointments with the GP during the past few years. Most of these have lead to a specialist referral often requiring surgery. The average waiting time for a telephone or face to face consultation has been 5 weeks.

Contact through th website or by phone is terrible. I have been tryoingto get the results of a blood test. It seems impossible to do and being caller number 1 in a queue for over 40 minutes suggests no-one is actually answering the phone. Accepting that the website doesn't work, surely bettetr communication arrangements should be made. It is the one area that really lets the surgery down as in all other areas, they are great.

Since the pandemic, the service at Linden House surgery has been diabolical. You request to see a Dr, and the best they can do is offer a phonecall 8 days later. The pandemic is over now, so not really sure why the surgery is still working as they were throughout covid. The receptionists are obstructive and unhelpful. One I dealt with today was very rude and condescending. She spoke to me like I was a complete imbecile. Since you are no longer allowed to sit in the waiting room, everybody queues near the receptionists which mean there is no privacy.

I am writing, not to complain about the staff or any of the services you provide once an appointment is made but about the ludicrous amount of time it takes to get through to the surgery. On several occasions we have had to call the practice and the amount of time we have been on the phone has been extortionate. My wife was expecting a call from the nurse to book an injection for travel and was told she would be contacted to book the appointment. She received information about a pre-booked appointment for tomorrow which she can't make due to work commitments. When she tried to call the practice to rearrange she was on the phone for 57 minutes and was still number 6 in the queue. I have had to go online and cancel the appointment and ask that the original call is made so that an acceptable time and date for an appointment can be made. When I originally called the surgery to ask about the procedure for the injection I was on the phone for over 40 minutes and when it answered I was immediately cut off so I went through the same process again and when I eventually got through to a member of staff I mentioned the fact the the phone waiting system doesn't seem to work properly. This was not the first time this has happened. This must be truly frustrating for someone that really needs to speak to someone and doesn't have the time or the inclination to wait for hours to get a response. You all do an amazing job and this is feedback not a complaint but if it's not mentioned you may never get to hear about the frustration the patients are going through. Kind regards Kevin

What an outstanding medical team at the Ashlea Medical Practice at Linden House. I moved from an excellent surgery in Guildford and joined as a new patient at Linden House upon moving to Leatherhead and since being a patient a few years ago I’ve always had consistent and outstanding professional medical support… far beyond what is the norm and it’s been consistent and sustained… amazing! The medical team has numerous experienced, compassionate and professional doctors, Dr Sharon Williams is amazing, Dr Alison Macleod, Dr Martina Hagley are to name but a few! I’ve not written a review before but feel compelled to share what an outstanding experience/service I had [again by the Linden House Team]! So, late today [Friday evening] I submitted a request to ask to speak to a doctor or have an appointment for next week. I included my self-diagnosis of course (courtesy of Google) and despite me thinking it wasn’t serious or needed focus right more Dr Hagley made time to see me late on a Friday night (6:30pm). Furthermore, Dr Hagley started me on a course of treatment immediately and put in plan a review plan … oh my how relieved do I feel right now! Despite the late hours and get long day Dr Hagley didn’t go home to her family, she stayed ensured I was examined and treated! I believe I work very hard with long hours at my day-job but hats off to the doctors at Linden House and a special thank you/recognition to Dr Hagley (I do hope you [Dr Hagley] get to take a few days off with your family, clearly well deserved/earned). I am truly humbled by the hard working team at Linden House and their professionalism and commitment to ordinary patients/people … thank you and pls take care.

I had a cervical smear recently and I was seen by Priscilla, the nurse. She was fantastic from start to finish. Firstly, she introduced herself, and then she asked about my cervical smear history and wasn't at all judgemental about the fact I had not been within the recommended 3 years. During the examination, she explained everything clearly, she was gentle and also told me to tell her if I needed her to stop, and asked me if I was okay for her to continue throughout the exam. As someone who works in birth trauma I see a lot of poor practice, but in my view Priscilla offered ideal practice.

I had an appointment with Karin the Nurse today and the Lady took a lot of time showing care and consideration , and also giving me a good deal of explanation of what I consider my minor although embarrassing problem , as I said before regarding Pricilla the time spent for my appointment means a lot to me , Karin understands that as I suffer from Depression I lack patience , Karin also took the time to discuss how to improve my eating habits , I think I was gently told off lol So a big thank you for the care shown to me today this Lady is a credit to the surgery Richard
