The assistant could have introduced herself initially rather than saying my name and then sitting down to go though my information at no time did she say her name until I had concluded paying for my new glasses and asking me to log on and give feedback. Also a brief explantation of the machines testing eyes may be of use . However she was very helpful in choosing glasses to suit me.

Seen to straight away. Water machine at store would be helpful as very hot up there and using eye muscles can be tiring. A drink would be refreshing in waiting area.

I have been having eye tests for over 10 years now at various opticians. By far, this has been my best eye test. I was greeted by the lovely Gabriella and she did some health checks on my eyes. She was fabulous. And even kept me informed when I had to wait a little, it was only a few minutes! Had my eyes tested by Alice. Gabriella introduced Alice which I thought was a really nice touch. I can honestly say this is the first optician where I actually know their name. Alice did a brill eye exam and noticed that one of my eyes was a slightly different shape. No one has ever picked that up before. And she explained it to me clearly and in a way I understood. Alice also picked up under the microscope that I had some blocked glands and told me how I could care for them! Gabriella picked up in the initial chat that I was quite a keen sports person and that contact lenses might be a good option whilst skiing etc. This information was then passed on to Alice and then I had a really good discussion with Alice about this. Alice has then gone on to arrange a trial and order different shaped lenses to deal with my slightly different shaped eye. Really excellent service. The last part of my consultation was with Mel. She arranged my contact lens trial and talked to me about the different options. I've tried contact lenses at a different opticians before around 7 years ago. But the service was awful, hence why I didn't persevere. I explained this to Mel and she reassured me that it can take some getting used to. Mel explained that I can have more than one appointment with them, and reassured me that she wouldn't let me take the lenses until they were sure that I could cope with them. These three ladies are an asset to your company. I come from a healthcare background, and it was really nice to see the teamwork between the three ladies and the care and compassion they had for me. During my appointment there wasn't one point where I felt pressurised to buy glasses or lenses etc. And I've felt this at lots of opticians before. So this appointment was a real breath of fresh air. I could not recommend this opticians and the staff enough. Brill brill brill!
