Unfortunately between myself and my wife I have extensive experience of medical care in both the private sector and NHS right across South Wales. Over 30+ years I have experienced excellent care from a number of Doctors and Nurses in various fields of medicine. I can though state with hand on heart that the care I have received from Cath since being diagnosed with Bowel cancer has been nothing short of exceptional!! In Cath, I feel like I have an extra sister, the level of care she has provided to my wife and I could not have been any better even if we were related. I too had a total pelvic clearance and I believe that it's Cath's understanding of the phycological impact that allows her to operate at a level I have never before witnessed from a health care professional. Her wide range of knowledge around managing stomas has allowed me to progress from what was initially a potentially life ending condition to a life changing condition and eventually on to a life altering condition. With Cath's guidance and knowledge of support products, I can now lead an almost normal life. I can not thank Cath enough!!

Thank you for this excellent review. I am really pleased that I have provided good care and support through a very difficult time, in the pre and post operative stages but most importantly when you return to normal daily life. I will always be there for support.

Cath Dixon was in my first meeting with my oncologist Mr P.Bose where my pending procedure..bladder removal was explained. Cath then explained thoroughly and honestly what to expect post op. That was four years ago and she has been there for me ever since face to face clinics, on the phone and of course the occasional lunch!! She goes that one step further and myself and other patients That she has treated not only look upon her as their stoma nurse but as a friend. Great nurse, great person and a great and valued friend.

I have known Cath Dixon since she became my stoma nurse over eleven years ago.Cath has provided excellent support for both myself and my wife in dealing with a life changing situation which has proved difficult at times. Cath has extensive experience as a stoma nurse drawing on her experience to resolve problems I have encountered on several occasions. The professional skills, knowledge and wealth of information Cath has developed over the years benefit both her patients and colleagues. In addition to Cath's professional expertise she has many personal qualities which make her ideally suited to her role. She is compassionate and caring and uses humour to great effect when appropriate to do so. I hope she continues to provide her much valued support to many years to come. .Lincoln l
