Staff were really good and looked after me well. My only problem was that I could not have food over a 36hr period as the staff were unsure of timing for the operation and that caused me a severe stomach diaphragm tension which is extremely painful and I nearly had to request a deferment to the op.
Doesn't like being in hospital but good care
Everyone has treated me with respect and been so kind and understanding I could not have wished for more thank you
Very good
I have spoken to my Mum this morning and she did not inform I was going to be living with her. I am going to live near my Son
I have no favourites here
I have no criticism about the staff or their expertise - all were excellent. However, I do have a problem with how long I had to wait at the AAU. Having been referred by my GP, I was already expected but was not seen by a Doctor for almost 4 hours on Thursday evening 22.10.15. I was exhausted and a little stressed and could not wait for further tests as I had to drive almost 20 miles to get back home. I arrived just before midnight. I therefore had to go back the next day for further bloods and a scan and again my waiting time was a little protracted - about 2 and a quarter hours.
There is a serious problem with the car parking next to A&E which should be addressed. You used to pay on leaving which made total sense; but now, you pay on arrival without knowing how long you are going to be at the hospital. I had to come out between treatments to pay again at a higher tariff than if I'd paid at the start (and it still wasn't enough!). Please do something about this by instructing the company who runs this car park to change this. It is blatantly obvious that they make more money with the current system and it is wholly wrong to make money out of people who are sick and in need of treatment.
Good staff but not enough of them
The staff were excellent, the ward could be very hot on occasion and also quite noisy. Lots of bells, telephones ringing, many staff passing through, it did not appear that there is any attempt to keep the ward quiet. Other than that it was a very positive experience.
Brilliant
