I have no criticism about the staff or their expertise - all were excellent. However, I do have a problem with how long I had to wait at the AAU. Having been referred by my GP, I was already expected but was not seen by a Doctor for almost 4 hours on Thursday evening 22.10.15. I was exhausted and a little stressed and could not wait for further tests as I had to drive almost 20 miles to get back home. I arrived just before midnight. I therefore had to go back the next day for further bloods and a scan and again my waiting time was a little protracted - about 2 and a quarter hours. There is a serious problem with the car parking next to A&E which should be addressed. You used to pay on leaving which made total sense; but now, you pay on arrival without knowing how long you are going to be at the hospital. I had to come out between treatments to pay again at a higher tariff than if I'd paid at the start (and it still wasn't enough!). Please do something about this by instructing the company who runs this car park to change this. It is blatantly obvious that they make more money with the current system and it is wholly wrong to make money out of people who are sick and in need of treatment.
