Thank you very much to Dr [name removed] for his time and care of my child . He explained everything so clearly and made ensured we understood the treatment given. He was so wonderful and friendly with my child. All the nhs staff working at reception area of minor injuries were wonderful and so Friendly. We were seen fast for a weekend and we were even given a follow up next day appointment. Thank you so much.

Everything was wonderful! Our only issue is with the nhs software/IT system. West berks can’t access GWH system to check for results of previous tests. We needed to check the results of my child’s urine sample testing and we were shocked the doctors can’t access patients clinical notes. The nhs really needs to update this as not everyone is in the area of their local hospital at all times. In our case west Berk community hospital is closest but all our testing from GP surgery goes to Swindon. The staff were wonderful and [name removed] [name removed] was kept waiting on the phone for GWH to answer their phones but they never did. This makes doctors at urgent care departments jobs very difficult as they would be unsure what to prescribe. We count ourselves very lucky to have had a great experience at thatcham hospital apart from the issue with the national NHS IT system.
