I call the ward once or twice a day and I speak with various members of staff about my dad’s care and they all are very supportive.

Given the very difficult circumstances due to Covid, the ward tried to be as helpful as possible. I am very grateful that my wife got to this hospital.

At this time as a carer a lot of my normal contact with people has been stopped, and the online courses are a good help to still see people I know in a safe enviroment. The subjects covered are usefull to help relaxation and keep a positive outlook.

Suggested improvements
Doing the courses online does have some restrictions, so art and craft working together cannot be done, so try to think of any new ideas for online courses to increase variety of subjects.

Overall, a good experience. However lack of communication as to next steps and progress of next steps.

Suggested improvements
Keep patients informed on a regular basis or their next steps. Additional staff required to support more vulnerable patients. Also more one on one sessions to build relationships to fully understand patients needs/requirements and how they are feeling.

I was given great amount of support from the staff. They read out the guidelines and what was expected from us right at the start of the course.

Suggested improvements
Include written format of the tasks that would be assigned to us.
