Excellent treatment that has saved my son's life. Nurses are wonderful, so patient and caring. Play specialists, physios and doctors are also very well liked by my son.
Possible areas for improvement. Communication about treatment, incl practical information such as how to administer medicine (eg get parent to try using a syringe and draw medicine before discharge.)
Have a clear policy for visitors/patients who have a contiguous illness when visiting the ward.

The care, attention and personable approach of the team on the ward is excellent.
The delay to treatment was exceptionally poor. This was caused by biochemistry delays and pharmacy delays. My bloods were taken at 9:30 and I did not start treatment until 4:30.
This meant that my husband couldn't stay with me because of childcare. No communication meant. WE couldn't prepare.

Appointment was on time.
Margaret was extremely professional, clear in her explanations, warm, friendly and caring.
Thorough and made sure I understood the reason for the tests, wash etc and answered in various questions.
