Superb care and consideration at all times both for my husband and laterally myself. It was suggested I might not be quite at the moment to gain the most from counselling which I agreed with however they were definite gains which I am able to work on.

I had found it very difficult to really talk to anyone close about my mum and her struggles with cancer and all of what she went through whilst battling the illness. When she died nearly 4 years ago now. I had always feared talking or asking questions about her illness would cause me or my close family to feel the upset we all went through at the time so this was a way of gaining some confidence to be able to talk openly about my mum. It really gave me a chance to clear my head and talk through all my emotions.

I have no negatives to say about my wife's care in here final days, as all the staff which i had dealings with i would go as far as to say became friends not just people doing a job.I can only say they went above and beyond their calling in work ethics and stayed over and above their hours in providing the treatment required for the patient and family.I would like to say the majority of the public do not realise this is a charity and not fully funded by the government in such a needed area which you don't appreciate to you require their services.

I started online family support, but I did not get a proper bond with the therapist, so I did not want to open up. I also had never met her before hand and I could not see her face over whatsapp video. It was also a difficult time for me.

It was good to have regular contact once a week with the same person to discuss whatever was on my mind. It meant that we could attach a bond with each other. For me it felt safe and the content was between the 2 of us and confidential. The only improvement would have been if face to face meetings could have continued and not virtual - covid 19!! Only had 2 face to face sessions :(. Loved the connection with her.
