Staff were kind and considerate at all times. Any concerns I had were dealt with and the medical staff took care that I was well enough to go home. Very happy with the care I have received.

The doctors and nurses were very professional. The care I received and respect I got was very good. They are a credit to the NHs. The cleaners were good and the girls that brought the tea and food round were good as well. So well done everyone and from the bottom of my heart. Thank you. You have done yourselves proud.

The young Asian Doctor was the kindest person I eventually saw, although I feel she could have given me the X-ray result quietly in the cubicle, rather than instructing the nurse while standing in the aisle. My overall opinion of the whole 3+hour process was that, in spite of it being extremely busy and of course everyone has to be seen in order of priority, there was a general lack of sympathy and care which I was shocked to see has disappeared. Through time, I have often visited hospitals, caring for my husband and there is a marked sign of deterioration. When I sympathised with the nurse she muttered about needing more money. Although I had been sent there by my local surgery, I felt a nuisance with my minor injury. Luckily, I found these very qualities in adundance from the two taxi drivers and bus drivers that I used to get to A&E.

Apart from the three hour wait, there was only one concern about my treatment, which relates to the triage nurse. Without even looking at the area causing my problem (which led to 111 recommending that I visit the Beacon Centre), she asked why I hadn't gone to my practice (which was closed) and that it was inappropriate for me to attend A & E! Both Reception and Dr Thompson were helpful and professional.

All the staff were excellent. I was dealt with promptly and the problem was diagnosed. My one criticism was of the equipment available to the doctor. The chair for the binoculars (to look into my eye) was too low and he had to kneel on it making it difficult for him and the magnifying glass was too dirty to see through properly (he had to clean it). It made no difference to me but I felt that he would have had more time for other patients if the equipment had been properly maintained. Other than that = excellent.
