Kindness and understanding about a frustrating situation. An apology extended when something had not gone well.
Request: Could members of the night care/nursing team talk more gently/quietly during evening drugs round and subsequent checks?
We were extremely well supported by the St Luke's community team and appreciated all the help and support we were given at such a difficult time. My only observation is has all the organizations fitted together - we had Marie Curie nurses/carers, district nurses, EP and St Luke's involved so it was sometimes difficult to know who was doing what.
I am not sure which team came to my Mum and gave care, but Gilly was one of the team members. I want to express my deep gratitude for the kind, compassionate and high quality care you gave my Mum. I visited my Mum (I live in Colorado) in July, a short time before she died. I was there every day when either nurses from Marie Curie or St. Luke's came by or telephoned. It was a huge comfort and reassurance to me to see how well my Mum was being taken care of - and my Dad in a way too. You were a special gift to my Mum and the rest of the family in her last few weeks. She always spoke so highly of you and with sincere gratitude. Thank you. Please pass on my thanks to Marie Curie as well.
Staff are so approachable. Nothing is too much. Never made to feel uncared for or stupid.
Support staff very helpful.
Julie Davies was our first link, she was very kind, caring and supportive to our needs and wishes. I don't think anything could be improved upon. Thank you very much for everything you're doing for us at this difficult time.
Staff were patient and generous with their time, they listened to me (and my husband) and we developed a plan to manage my symptoms together.
The care was excellent from beginning to end. Everything that needed to be done was done with dignity and compassion. With grateful thanks.
The care for my husband was first class, everyone involved was very kind and caring, no improvement needed in my opinion.
My care has been first class, when I wasn't well pushed the buzzer and a member of staff was there in seconds, the standard of care is ace.
Very friendly. Explained everything clearly in layman's terms. Only first of six visits but feel totally comfortable and relaxed about my condition and situation.
