It was efficient, friendly and totally caring.
As far as the care is concerned it was second to none. The nurses spend the time talking and reassuring you. My only issue with Turnchapel is that the main corridor off which the rooms are located is often clouded in cigarette smoke.. The poor nurses have to help the patients in the smoking room too! I'm a nurse and would refuse on the grounds of maintaining my own health!
The hospital has been revamped and is light airy and welcoming.
My husband is having palliative care and this place is like being at home.
I applaud the administrators. A better place could not be found to support the terminally ill patient.
But PLEASE sort out the smoking!!!
We have tried to think where your service could be improved but could not find any fault.
Fiona Frewer has been amazing and a total asset to St Lukes. Any time we have needed to call St Lukes, the team have been kind, considerate and always there to help. Wonderful
Nothing to improve. I was treated with respect and asked my opinion and what I would like to be done. The staff our all very caring and supportive.
All my worries were taken away when Julia arrived to help.
We were able to understand how my treatment would work. The fact that I was in so much pain until it was understood and acted upon by St Lukes.(no pain anymore)
Every member of staff has been fantastic.
They provided me with good advise at a difficult time.
