Very caring and informative meeting. Feeling more confident re my pain management.
My care has been excellent.
Niamh Eve made me feel better in one day after four months of really bad pain so I don't think that can be improved.
I did not know what to expect with the group counselling but it was incredibly helpful to meet people who were in a similar situation - to have met some lovely new friends and we can continue supporting each other beyond the counselling - both Wendy and Lorraine were knowledgeable and compassionate.
The lose guidance of each meeting was a help to focus the discussion at the start.
I would recommend you keep the groups to more specific criteria - one woman had lost a grandparent and dominated the group.
It was hard to sympathise with her when she had her parents, her husband and children - mixing in people like this doesn't work.
It helped talking to the patient so much. She always put my mind at rest and helped me so much.
Cannot thank the bereavement team enough for the support I received after my husband's death.
Also the single point nurses and carers who looked after him at the end of his life. All the staff are excellent!
Staff give great confidence in the St Helena hospice.
Professional throughout, informative clear and precise, good approval to my current illness.
Nothing really is/was very professional. They were very caring and made you feel at ease.
The all round care was excellent, helpful all the time kind and caring.
St Helena Hospice was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2024 for delivering outstanding care.
