I did not know what to expect with the group counselling but it was incredibly helpful to meet people who were in a similar situation - to have met some lovely new friends and we can continue supporting each other beyond the counselling - both Wendy and Lorraine were knowledgeable and compassionate. The lose guidance of each meeting was a help to focus the discussion at the start. I would recommend you keep the groups to more specific criteria - one woman had lost a grandparent and dominated the group. It was hard to sympathise with her when she had her parents, her husband and children - mixing in people like this doesn't work.
