Techniques taught in good detail I now have a good understanding of the lymph system and how it works.
Suzanne Holt, the special nurse was friendly, took her time to explain treatment, gave time to listen to my concerns and for me to ask questions. At no time was I made to feel that my concerns were unimportant. She gave practical advice about options open for future care such as end of life care. She was concerned to leave contact details should help be required at any time.
This morning I was visited by Melanie Holmes. It was a great relief to talk with her about my awful predicament - normally being carer for my husband, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I myself being somewhat troubled by memory loss just to know there is support in this area is so good. I feel so in need of someone in the future to help with care.
Excellent, all of it. Very friendly, professional and caring. Explained the problem, causes and treatment extremely well. Very informative.
Thank you.
Although my husband was not in the hospice but was at home. The input in the community was wonderful but sadly the patient died peacefully at home with marvelous care.
Excellent explanation, learned a lot.
