The clinical nurse specialist was the first person to explain the palliative care pathway and the options open to me.
The care system is very fragmented and it is hard to find out what is available and who you need to go to in order to get the correct things in place to ensure your wishes are actionable.
The personal touch was also gratefully received.
Maxine came in all bubbly, relaxed, jolly, friendly but most especially for me a positive outlook and nothing too much trouble for her, she has given me the confidence to talk to her about anything no matter if I think it's silly she is in my opinion perfect for this job.
Complete explanation of condition and what to do about it.
Information completely new to me and helped me understand condition.
Friendly informative consultation - all questions resolved and aware of future plans for treatment.
Staff were very friendly, understanding and empathetic. I met Annie and Ursula who were both very friendly, approachable and professional. I received very useful written and verbal information about initial strategies to reduce arm lymphedema and feel comfortable to contact if any concerns prior to my next appointment.
Maxine was wonderful!
Never felt rushed at all she was understanding and compassionate.
Lovely lady.
I have great confidence in leaving the patient in her care!
A relaxed and informative exchange of information , which was a great help , and promises support for the future.
I was with you for 2 months and came to regard everybody as a personal friend. I was very sorry to leave even though I was going home to my wife and 2 dogs all of whom i love very much. If I needed to speak to a doctor, a doctor would appear quickly or a message saying One would be with me shortly.
Also much support was shown to my wife who was having a very bad time just then.
The food was excellent, and if I ever needed just to talk to someone, someone always found the time.
In my opinion nothing needs improving. Thanks for looking after me. Peter Foden.
The care given to patients and their family members is first class. Everyone is treated with respect and much love and consideration.
I cannot think of anyway to improve their services, they have it to perfection!
Debbie was fantastic. We all felt listened to as a family and given time to talk. We feel that we have support and care on offer 24 hrs a day.
We feel reassured during a very tricky time and confident that we can now move forward in the most positive way. We feel care about you.
Thank you.
