Very good. Could not be improved.
Thoroughly satisfied with everything that was explained to me. Ursula was very meticulous and I believe she left no stone unturned. Very happy with the treatment I received from her.
Julie Norris was the most knowledgeable person I have spoken to about my condition. She passed on all the treatments and potential application I could use to limit and reverse my symptoms. I was very impressed.
Good that nurse visited home and could therefore see living conditions and make suggestions as to ho adaptations could be made to improve quality of life. Home visits also mean no need to arrange transport to clinic and therefore reduces anxiety around attending appointments and specially when relying on carers to accompany you and when travelling can significantly increase pain levels, nurse provides a source of expertise and liaison between agencies which is a minefield for the patient to negotiate. Improvements necessary to educate all involved in patient care i.e GPs, district nurses and to include admin teams as well. Educate GPs to be proactive and update records immediately following palliative care consultations to enable collect medications to be issued and reduce anxiety for the patient who needs reassurance pain can be controlled as necessary.
(I was so happy to have my first meeting with CNHS Vicky hargreaves from St Catherines, in the comfort of our own home. She explained all the facts to me and my husband and answered all our questions. Made arrangements for district nurse to come in over the weekend to monitor blood sugars. Told me that CNS Nic Littler would be seeing me next. Our task is to come to Lostock and have a look round the gardens and care! Thank you.
Very patient and informative.Empathetic and took time to explain Lymphedema in detail. Especially how it related to mt particular issues. Measured me and advised correct compression garments and informed G.P listened and answered all my questions. Thank you to Julie Norris.
Initial visit, put me very much at ease and I feel confident that I can contact them with confidence if needed.
Initially I was worried about the hospice nurse visiting. Tracy was very helpful and answered all my questions which put my mind at rest. Tracy explained all the services that are available at the end of my life. I wish Tracy would visit everyday! I look forward to her next visit.
What I gained from today's visit from Nick (CNS) was understanding exactly what the hospice does and especially what it means to me in respect of care and support both for me and my family. Left me feeling happy and content.
Only had one visit so far which was very helpful. We were able to talk to Tracy, she was so kind and understanding with everything, such a lovely person. Looking forward to seeing her again.
