My step father was a patient here when they were still a new organisation and more recently my father was a patient. As a family member I was treated with so much empathy and care that those very difficult times were made so much easier for all of us. My father was not admitted to the hospice until his final week, but just knowing someone was on the other end of the phone for any and all questions helped us to care for him at home until HE asked to be admitted. The help and dedication of all the staff, no matter their role, gave comfort and strength when it was very much needed. My thought is people go here to have dignity and a choice in their final days. Surrounded by people who care deeply about their patients and families.
