The stoma nurses where so understanding every step of the way. At the beginning we had a long chat on the phone and then a training pack was sent to my house explaining everything. They gave me a there number to call any time I had a question. They where there at the operation holding my hand before hand and then afterwards. They taught me everything I need for my stoma. I had a problem of fainting every time I changed the bag and with there help and guidance I got to get home with out fainting. Also the support did not stop when I got home. The called the next day to check on me and how I was getting along. Plus another phone call two days later to tell me that they had found a stoma nurse near where I live who is going to look after me now. They went the extra mile to care and support me through this whole operation as I lived far away from Croydon hospital. In the end I was glad to be under there care as they have been outstanding team. The best care I ever had. Thank you to the whole stoma team.

Nothing, I can't think of anything that needs improving in this service.

Everything was explained clearly without being patronized. Any special request was handled with kindness and efficiently.

Very difficult to think what! Maybe stress fact that as you get used to the stoma you can live pretty much a normal life. I pleased golf and went swimming!

My stoma nurse always treated me with respect and dignity, she has also been supportive and assisted me with any queries and/or concerns I may have, even if I felt they may have been irrelevant. Kate who came to see me 3 times was very encouraging and reassuring in my getting used to and fitting my stoma pouch correctly. Any questions that I asked or problems that I had she answered to my satisfaction and helped me with greatly. I have been left with various contact details which I can use for help if needed should any problems arise, so I know that I have got someone to turn to should there be any need to.

As far as I am concerned there was not anything you could have done any better.
