The stoma nurses where so understanding every step of the way. At the beginning we had a long chat on the phone and then a training pack was sent to my house explaining everything. They gave me a there number to call any time I had a question. They where there at the operation holding my hand before hand and then afterwards. They taught me everything I need for my stoma. I had a problem of fainting every time I changed the bag and with there help and guidance I got to get home with out fainting. Also the support did not stop when I got home. The called the next day to check on me and how I was getting along. Plus another phone call two days later to tell me that they had found a stoma nurse near where I live who is going to look after me now. They went the extra mile to care and support me through this whole operation as I lived far away from Croydon hospital. In the end I was glad to be under there care as they have been outstanding team. The best care I ever had. Thank you to the whole stoma team.
