Coffee shop open would be huge improvement.
Someone on reception not seen.
There is currently only one receptionist allocated to Ryde Health and Wellbeing Centre covering 8:30am until 5pm it therefore cannot always be guaranteed there will be cover for the duration of the centres opening hours. When staffing levels allow additional support is provided from other community clinics from across the island. When only one receptionist is on duty there will be times when the desk is unmanned whilst the receptionist deals with matters that may take them away from the desk. When only one receptionist is on duty reception closes during lunchtime and a notice is placed on the reception counter informing visitors. When two team members are on duty lunchtimes are staggered to allow reception to remain open. It is anticipated in future a further receptionist will be employed to work at Ryde Health and Wellbeing providing additional support for reception. Unfortunately the reporter has not provided a time when this occured or how long they waitied at the reception desk to be seen which would have allowed for a more thorough response.
I don't know who carried out your disable survey, but I find it very strange that you have no disabled seating in any waiting area.
Nothing could be improved, your service is excellent! Thank you.
Care is very good.
The car park is badly designed. There is no turning point at the top and is almost impossible to turn round to come back down.
Waited from 11.25 till 1.15 for blood test.
Polite and caring staff.
Waiting area could do with air conditioning - gets very stuffy in hot weather.
The care is very good, and I very much appreciate having such a facility in Ryde. There are a few things which could be improved in the building and surrounds. I feel the building is not well designed, all the glass in the roof making it either too hot or too cold. Air conditioning would have been sensible, to avoid stress to the patients, many of whom are elderly, and cannot cope well with extremes of temperature. I know, I am one of them! Aircon would also make working conditions much more pleasant for the staff. Also, the outside area poses difficulties. I have to use a wheelchair, and the pebbles on the car park make it almost impossible to access the building. The wheelchair just will not "go" on that surface. Without the help of my husband to force the chair, which he should not be doing, I would not be able to get into the building. My power chair cannot cope with that surface either. Anyone using a walking stick would have problems with the stick sinking into the gravel, and becoming very unsteady. It would have been a good idea to consult people with various difficulties before approving the design!!
I have diabetes and need regular blood tests. Every time I go to get my test done I have to wait a long time. Today I waited 2 hours, which a far too long. Not acceptable. Would like it to be improved if possible,
