Fantastic attitude from all staff.
Listened to my previous situation and adjusted to my personal needs.
Thank you all !!!!
Nurses and doctors very caring and efficient couldn't fault any of them.
There was no waiting around except for waiting for eye drops to take effect.
In my experience i cannot think of any improvement.
Very pleased thank you
Service was brilliant and we were seen and leaving the department just 5minutes after our appointment time. We did arrive early and very impressed with my treatment.
Nurse listen to me,gave advice on the thing that concerned her and what to do and was very understanding
No problems at all. The care was outstanding and compassionate and in my view could not have been better. Ten out of ten.
1)It i salmsot imposible to contact the Eye Department. They don't answer the phone. Even the switchboard know. They say "no one will answer" and attempt contact by email. I have had two occsions where the Department made an error with my appointment. One one occasion I was obliged to travel to the Hospital to get it corrected.
2) Staff are - understandbly - process-oriented. So when I asked for the pin-hole test they refused, as it "wasn't mecessary." BUT for a patient such as me recovering sight after an op, it holds out hope that you will get better sight one you can update your prescription. And my consulrant found it useful too.
If it wasn't for the above, I'd give your department 5 stars!
I have suffered with psoriatic arthritis from my first flare in 2005, causing me unable to make a fist in either hand, this dealt with almost immediately by a steroid jab, medicated weekly with methotrexate since then. I nearly always have a flakey scalp, but nothing more serious until one knee joint got painful and required a steroid jab into the synovial membrane in 2009, again relieving the problem. Although I walk and cycle regularly, I haven't run (normally a regular training) for about 5 months and the lack this more major exorcise may have left my hip victim to some pain after sitting for about an hour, watching films, etc. Fortunately, I've had no more pain, after a week of skiing.
Conversations with my Rheumatology Specialist, at our scheduled meetings, are always positive and leave me with a plan to follow, should I have problems on the way. The right medication and supportive direction always leaves me able to function thankfully normally.
Day surgery at weekend
Seemed to be less service and adhering to procedures.
Need to be told on the phone that an overnight stay may happen if operation is delayed therefore bring things in with you.
Doesn’t the patient need a wrist band done and name written on bed head, drugs chart, skin chart ?
Breakfast ordered for the patient for the next day.
Bed remade the next morning so that patient can rest not stripped and left bare.
Treat each patient as individuals eg Listening to other patients being spoken to: An old person is old not necessarily silly and old. Nor deaf.
Good practice to keep patient informed regularly not ignored or made to feel that your a nuisance.
Excellent care by night staff and trauma/ operating staff.
Great care with fast diagnosis and lovely staff.
Very good staff. Not much wait time very good.
