My appointment was at 13:00 hours but I arrived early and was seen within minutes for my blood pressure and ECG by a nurse who was pleasant enough but unfortunately smelled strongly of cigarettes
I then was seen by Leo who was very informative about my forthcoming procedure and talked me through everything I wanted to know and Leo sent me for a blood test
It was 13:10 by the time I was leaving the hospital
Don't think anyone can argue that it wasn't a fabulous service from our NHS
Attended on 29 May for Gastroscopy starting at level D where I was extremely well treated and fully informed of the preliminary procedures. Then transferred to level G when I met Dr. Aspinall and his team who explained the procedure before carrying it out.
I could not have been better looked after.
Ifind it difficult to suggest any improvements. My appointment was for 14:20 and by 15:20 I was on my way home!
The "Blue Box" was emptied by staff within a couple of minutes of paperwork being deposited and it seemed to be dealt with immediately.
The doctors were really on the ball seeing patients and the xray department also kept up with demand.
I was more than pleased with my doctor's diagnosis of my broken clavicle, showing me the xray and explaining that everthing was progressing nicely.
Another appointment was made for four weeks time.
I was also asked if I would like to attend for a bone density scan as I had also broken an ankle some years previously. I was most impressed that I was approached for a preventative procedure. I was also given several leaflets which I found most useful.
Keep up the good work.
Being picky.......softer seats in the waiting area?
Seen 5 mins before appt time. Lovely care by nurses first then saw consultant who explained everything very thoroughly.
Cannot fault the staff. Good humor and always a smile. Attention to detail was great.
Even the food was good and that is normally the subject of most jokes.
I was especially impressed with Zoe who had the worst time trying to get the extremely erotic socks onto my size 13's.
All in all five stars start to finish.
Thank you all.
Very clean, efficient and friendly. Cannot fault the care I received.
I booked in at reception at about 9:50/55 for 10am chemo. I was given my wristband and went to sit in the prescribed area. Just after 10 the nurse came along and I wasn't called. I waited until after 10:30 when they came back I again wasn't called. My wife asked. I was told that I had not booked in! I felt at this point I was being blamed when there was a hiccup at the reception. My wife also tried speaking to the nurse who on 2 occasions completely ignored her - which we both thought was extremely rude.
There is a simple way to overcome this hiccup. The person collecting the patients asks if EVERY patient due at a certain time if they are there - this would mean that all who were there would be picked up even if they had not booked in correctly - or that the reception desk forgot to tick it off.
When you are due to be in the unit for upwards of 7 hours anyway any delay is very frustrating and when even one member of staff ignores you it doesn't help the mood.
I SHOULD NOT be forced to enter my ethnic group as it is totally irrelevant I am very unhappy and so far it is the only time I have EVER been forced to fill it in!
Great experience
Everything was fine considering that I had a major operation on my hip and the care was faultless. Picking up a minor urinary issue delayed my discharge from hospital which probably didn’t help my mind set but that’s life! I was a bit flustered when I packed up to leave as the bed was required urgently but that is really nothing to be worried about.i enjoyed the food as well!
All the staff that felt with me were kind curtius explained every thing to me and were very quick
