The surgeons & preoperative care was excellent. I was made fully aware of the risks involved. They were all very kind & understanding, I felt comfortable to ask them anything. Post op care was poor, my epidural came out soon after surgery! With the exception of a couple of very hard working staff on each shift the experience was dreadful. The nights are awful with no blinds at the windows, lights on full most of the time & the noise of the machines & staff with constant alarms going off was exhausting. Whilst I would have the operation again in a heart beat and have no regrets whatsoever, I would not relish the thought of being an impatient ever again.
