Everyone is very friendly, I didn't feel judged. It was the first time I ever had counselling, it helped me understand why I was feeling like I was & given coping mechanisms to use

As a recently widowed woman, I was constantly being told to think of the wonderful memories. Sadly, a bundle of memories NOT good seemed to prevent me remembering the good. I needed to expel these bad memories and focus on the good. Family and friends were not the place to unburden - I was able to share with Marion my counsellor

reassure possibly patients/recipient that it is a valuable and rewarding experience. The weight is lifted so I can now move on with my life.

My first experience of counselling so not sure what to expect or how it would feel. Very interesting way of making one delve + think - something I've been good at avoiding

It could be helpful to have the offer of a follow-up session a few weeks/months after the last meeting

It was all very professionally delivered, I perhaps could have benefitted from some direction post therapy e.g. attend walking services with like-minded people
