Review of Complementary Therapy Outpatients written by a patient
31st October 2018

Without exception everyone at Longfield was professional, friendly, non judgemental, great at realising when to offer, encourage or stand back. The care and atmosphere of the Longfield experience was more than complementary to any allopathic treatment. It was only after the course that one appreciates how low ones starting point was and how much better after Longfield.

I know it was a very difficult but I think appointments could be a little longer if you are having a treatment. Should be at best and i appreciate all my treatments of always buying items from Longfield shops and do rush mornings to here giving back to Longfield.

Debbie my counsellor was fantastic, great at her job. And the staff at Longfield were lovely, very kind. A great place to go for help. Nothing needs to be improved. Also lovely coffee and biscuits.

Review of Counselling Outpatients written by a patient

The counselling was sensitive and appropriate in that as time went on, different types of support were given by theories of grief, visual aids, quotations from research. Adequate time was given for different subjects to be expanded - I felt in no way pressured and the counsellor made few interjections. These comments/prompts helped me flow of thought, sometimes helping me to think more deeply thus, facilitating understanding/acceptance. A safe arena to let my grief well up. Overflow and become free.

Review of Day Therapy written by a patient

1. The very idea of hospice care in very beautiful surroundings. 2. The variety of souls and their conversation character (!) A slightly longer time in which to finish artwork and other projects - and still get home in daylight. No real adverse crits.

While I was at Longfield, it helped me to relax, it was good meeting different people. My wife was happy as she knew I was safe, so she could go out without worrying about me.
