My son hurt his arm and we went to A&E. The staff explained everything to both of us, including waiting times etc. I want to make a specific mention of Angelo Scheller - he was such an awesome nurse. Really went above and beyond to make my son comfortable. Thank you everyone

One dr on and 40 minutes in between patients my appointment was at 4pm I arrived on time and still had to wait til gone 5pm he then comes in and calls a name of a person who isn’t here, no one came to check on me or the other patient except the cleaner asked if he could get me a drink of water, I’m not one to moan I know the Nhs is pushed to its limits but I feel so ill and feel I would have been seen quicker in a&e, not a good experience at all.

There was not a time, in the few admissions I've had over the last 5-6 years, that I wasn't treated on an excellent manner. All the doctors, nurses and remaining staff were absolutely brilliant. A special word for the doctors, not only for their professionalism but also their human side. The 1st can be trained but the 2nd not. So it begs the question...has the NHS the right environment to educate staff? Definitely, because even when living in London I've felt well taken care of. Congratulations for your hard work, discipline, ethic and irreprehensible conduct and also, especially in the current epidemic context, we do really owe you! Many many thanks.

On the 9th of December 2017 my grandmother of 93 years old was admitted due to a fall, during this time we were just in the middle of the first snow of the winter which in turn had caused the A&E department to be incredibly busy, I was expecting to be delayed but as soon as my nan was admitted she was seen by the doctor, made comfortable and x rayed. The care my grandmother received on the that first night was second to none and the next day she successfully came through a hip operation. Unfortunately on the 15th while I was visiting her heart finally gave in and she passed away while I sat with her, the nurses were amazing and stayed with me as I said my goodbyes, they spent time explaining everything and nothing was too much trouble. I don't remember the Nurses names but my Nan did tell me before she died that every doctor and nurse that treated her were so kind and went that extra mile to talk to her and spend some time with her,

My daughter went to the allergy clinic here. She was treated well by all the staff. The appointments with the doctor were a bit brief and were discharged after 2-3 visits but told we could refer back if needed.

My 18 month old son split his head open on Easter Sunday which meant a couple of hours in A&E. I would like to thank the Doctor that treated him that day, I believe it was Dr Roger Way (but I couldn't find him on iWGC so this could be slightly off as I only got a quick look at his name badge). Whoever was working on Easter that treated my baby was absolutely amazing. Not only did he reassure two panicking parents, he took the time to interact with our son and distract him from his pain. He went out and brought back a toy, he was personable, approachable, informative, patient and calm. My son had to have his head glued together and we were warned that if he didn't keep completely still to allow them to glue it, it would mean general anaesthetic for sutures, which he explained would be high risk for his age. Had he not explained that part to me, I probably would have not have understood the importance of why we needed to try and glue it, which meant I would have shouted at them to stop when my son was screaming as he had to be held down by 4 adults (necessarily) to keep him completely still whilst they cleaned and glued his wound. The Dr explained every part, he warned us it wouldn't be pleasant and prepared us for seeing our son in distress and pain, he got everything ready before we went in so our son (or us!) didn't have time to panic. He explained every detail of what would happen. We were very grateful that Doctor was working that day. Whilst my sons scar will be visible forever, it has healed very neatly and that is down to the great work of the Doctor who treated him. A credit to Horton Hospital.

We attended accident and emergency. We received excellent and timely response from triage to seeing doctor for treatment. However we were disappointed by the interaction and treatment received by the doctor. The doctor did not identify themselves as a doctor or announce their name, they were wearing purple scrubs and not wearing an id badge They assessed the wound with bare hands and did not demonstrate effective infection control techniques. I addressed this after the doctor left to collect the necessary items, had heard someone tell them they needed to go a fridge in another part of department which involved them finding a key and a nurse. On return to the cubicle they made no effort to use alcohol gel or place gloves on before opening the package containing the treatment. I did ask them to stop. I explained and asked them to use the gel at end of bed and place gloves on. They told me that this was for patients and that they change the sheets so that was ok. They did go and wash their hands and returned with wet hands and proceeded to place...very difficulty gloves over wet hands. They appeared to have no understanding of the infection control policy or able to understand what I was trying to say. I'd be grateful if this was addressed with the as well as wearing ID badges and introducing themselves and identifying their self as the doctor. Unfortunately this interaction placed an overall negative on the service we received tonight.

Sent to see the Elms Centre. They promised to see me once a week. But instead they was barley able to see me once a month. Trying to contact someone for support was well best described as none existent at all. Would ring them and be told no one was available but someone would call back. In 4 months no one ever called back. My condition is now worse then it has ever been in my whole life. With me even trying to take my own life multiple times since first visiting them. So what do the Elms do. Stop everything and refer me back to my GP who has just given me a 6 week wait time to see them. If you are ever referred to the Elms Centre. Do not attend and seek independent help instead. You will be much better off.
