Waiting times are too high and no way of knowing where you are in the que. No quiet room to wait for people with autism and sensory needs.

Staff was very friendly and reasssuring
All staff from paramedics (first contact) to consultants were approachable calm courteous kind and helpful. They listened, were attentive and kept us informed throughout.
I visited A&E after injuring my bicep that day all in all I was in and out with an appointment for the orthopaedic dept in three hours or there abouts, that in itself is a win. It was a fairly busy night, so triage took some time but the staff were rattling through them, the doctor called me through and dealt with me promptly and arranged for my ongoing appointment and treatment. On this occasion my visit actually exceeded expectations as I thought I'd be sat till at least three or four in the morning as it was I was out just after 1 AM
I went in at 10 and didn't leave till 8 the next morning I was discharged at 12 because I didn't hear my name being called I am hard of hearing and they stood next to there door I was next to a load machine and a lot of other patients that was talking I then had to re book in and ended up not leaving till the next day also the doctor dealing with me didn't realise I had a cut to my head and was about to let me go with it still open and a plaster that I supplied to be still there it wasn't until I said what about the whole in my head that it was sorted
Apart from the triage nurse ( I think she should have kept her personal views about me to herself)everyone else was polite.
Every person I came into contact was very friendly and professional. I had total confidence that they were doing their best for me. The treatment areas all looked very smart and clean. I was particularly impressed with the booths with the sliding doors that ensured total privacy.
Drs not talking to patient when discussing with nurse what’s happening while in the room. Communication needs to improve a lot
I would like to thank everyone for my care. Ive not always had the best experience at this hospital due to staff being overwhelmed and clearly compassion fatigue, however, on this occasion, I was treated with kindness and dignity, even when I felt like I didn't deserve it. Thank you
