The nurses that visited instilled a great deal of confidence in myself. In that I was doing a great job in caring for my husband.
I found them kind, considerate and very compassionate.
They gave me the feeling that my husband and I were the only people that mattered to them
Mum was in the final weeks of life when hospice at home came into our lives. As mum's carer 24/7, the help received by sitters was invaluable. They were all courteous, friendly and caring.
All aspects of Hospice at home care were outstanding.
The care, dedication and compassion of the nurses was amazing.
The respect they had for mum was second to none, they treated her with dignity, gentleness and nothing was too much trouble, they talked her through everything, made her feel safe and she trusted everything, made her feel safe and she trusted them at all times. It was important for mum to be at home and die in her own surroundings and with the care of the nurses and myself and Amy this was made possible.
As a family we cannot thank you enough. We were never left down, you were always prompt and never ever rushed away on time. Thank you all so very much.
Your nurses were kind and gentle- particularly with out mum who, watching Dad die, found it all very difficult and scary.
When you were contacted about my husband, the speed with which you acted to give me as much care and help was second to none, and so much appreciated. I was just about at breaking point and the care and love that I was given was so much appreciated. Sadly after only three days my husband passed away but you made his last days as calm and peaceful as possible.
Thank you so much.
All staff were professional and respectful in their manner.
Improvements - should have made contact earlier.
-Better liaison with GP service and district nurse.
-Could have been better co-ordinated the service was difficult to locate and to differentiate it's role from other community staff.
-Too many people became involved at the end in the care of my brother - one day we had fourteen visitors from community care service. Each professional had to write time explaining their role and where/how to contact them.
Your care offering seems to be best suited to families dealing with a members ill health, allowing others respite to get on with necessary tasks. In our case we had enough cover for this need, so we did not really have use for a long visit from your carers, clearly, some families are less able to deal with terminal illnesses and incapacity.
1.High staff/patient ratio.
2.Good food.
3.Good wifi.
4.Excellent communication from staff to patients.
Not so good.
1.Can be noisy at night.
2.Food is always lukewarm.
Everyone is very helpful and offer help if you need it. Always polite and well mannered. I feel there are a few problems with meals and times of meals. Have been served up cold food and been told they can only keep it for a little while. If you are engaged with someone and feel as you are complaining if you ask them to keep it hot.
Absolutely fantastic service that you don't know is available until you need it.
You came into my home to care for my dad and looked after him and also his immediate family so well.
Nothing to improve!
Thank you for just being there when we needed you which enabled dad to end his journey at home surrounded by his family.
